Why Corsican Rosé? If you've ever enjoyed the great Rosés of Bandol, look further South for another delicious, chic, French rosé. In fact, before starting Clos Signadore in 2001, Christophe Ferrandis worked at famed Bandol domaine Château de Pibarnon. The marriage of the provençal, long-aging winemaking style and Corsican terroir makes for some of the most compelling French Rosés.

Unlike many rosés that are not meant to be held, this 100% Nielluccio has opened up perfectly after a year in bottle - it's structured, the acidity is in place, it has the soft citrus and cinnamon aromas that you look for in an excellent Rosé. This is a superb pairing wine—for consistency's sake, we would recommend pairing this with Mediterranean cuisine, like oily fish and roasted tomatoes; but we enjoyed a bottle with Christophe in January with a river fish from the Loire, and the association worked beautifully.

And, as with the best Rosés, this is prime outdoor wine; serve it at your summer patio party (and ditch the ice cubes, please).
